Liturgy Day Concert at Forestview Middle School.
Marty Haugen and Fr. Michael Joncas performed a concet of liturgical music at Forestview to end Liturgy Day 2011.
They were joined by local musicians headed by Dr. Jennifer Person (choir) and Sandy Larson (orchestra). Marty remarked, "Michael and I do these concerts around the world, and almost never do we get to work with people as talented as these."
Fr. Michael Joncas spoke to the audience at the 2011 Liturgy Day Concert. Over 400 attended.
Supporters for 2012 Liturgy Day.
Was Liturgy Day 2011 everything you hoped for? The comments on the evaluations gave high praise. We are planning for 2012 and need your help. Firstly, put the dates February 17 and 18, 2012 on your calendar.
Secondly, we believe Liturgy Day 2011 was a success in every way - well, except financially. I've lost money on less important things than this, but it would be nice if we could break even next year. To that end, we are looking for churches and individuals who can help support Liturgy Day 2012. Can you or your church contribute $250 to be an official supporter of Liturgy Day 2012? How about $500 to be a co-sponsor? If so, hit reply and tell me the good news :)
Thanks for your involvement and participation.
Good liturgy fosters faith. With faith, all things are possible.
