I've been meaning to write a book about life. I'd like to share some of my ideas in the hopes that you might use them as springboards for ideas of your own.
I think that most things I have learned I've learned from watching others. If what they did went well, then I'd do the same. If it didn't then I'd analyze the situation and figure out what to do differently. You'll probably want to do the same with the things I write -- see what works and what doesn't. But do pay attention to that part that says "analyze the situation". It's common to hear people say, "I take what works for me and leave what doesn't." But that would be only part of what I hope for you--only part of a full life. Analyzing, figuring things out, making them your own, sharing yourself -- that's more of a complete life.
So here is the first part of the introduction. I hope you'll return to read more as it gets published here.
I once thought of becoming a philosopher. I discarded the idea for two reasons:
Many years later, I see we have few philosophers. I also see we have a lack of formal logic in discussions that shape much of our society. (Formal logic is the foundation for philosophical discussion.) As a society, we have a fascination with "research". (Proper research is also built upon the foundation of formal logic.) But there are difficulties:
So I have decided to write and "publish" in a blog (as is the way of the world these days) some ideas, thoughts, and information. If I can figure out how to make it work, you'll have the opportunity to comment. I hope you do.
